Weekend

As I mention before it was studio market day on Saturday, which turned out to be great fun, very casual and relaxing. Visitors started to come up to our stalls before we had our goods on the tables. Few ladies from Extra Texture came to visit us and to purchase our fabrics, big thank you to them for their support. And thank you to Carizza for organizing this event, I met wonderful people, hopefully we will do it again.

On Sunday I had a stall at Creative Lane Market at Marrickville’s beautiful Town Hall building where I met Asako Sakai, great girl who kindly offered me so much needed cup of coffee in the morning. She is busy mum of two who is working  from home running her handmade business Piggledee, she makes cute adorable everyday baby items from Japanese textiles, check her website, and I love the way she writes on her blog, very relaxing and easy. Thank you Asako for making my day!

And surprise! No pictures today supporting my text, stupidly I have deleted all photos of my weekend from my camera, don’t ask me how but I did.  hmm….this is unusual..

Once a week #13

Tomorrow is our studio market day and Creative Lane market is on Sunday. Piles of fabrics to iron, unfinished cushions on my table, scraps and threads are everywhere all waiting to be finished! But I found time to doodle; yep, how could I not? Peek into my visual diary, elements for future designs.

And a little teaser for the day, one of my new bags, just to keep you inform on BlueBerry Ash new products. I really like the way it turned out. Comfortable size 30×50 cm, perfect to use for a bit of shopping. Handles made out of leather.

To Market, To Market

BlueBerry Ash was kindly invited

by Suki Tam a Creative Lane director and creator

to participate in this special event.

Please come and meet me at Creative Lane.

July is promising to be a busy month for BlueBerry Ash.

I’m working on new fabrics and products, and organizing market stalls for the next months.  Collectivism printing studio also will open its doors at the end of July for one day only, where you can meet all of us in person, participate in workshops and buy some goodies.

I will post details here later on, stay tuned.

Building up stock

I spent past few days in a studio printing as many quarters of fabric as I can, for an upcoming Finders Keepers, time flying fast and I am worrying I won’t be able to get done all the things that I have planed, but hey, I am trying and most important I am having fun!

Inside…

…it’s not permanent but temporary, a community space where we are artists, designers, printers sharing one corner. Myself and other four girls Anna, Carizza, Cecilia and Laura grouped together, to bring best out of each other, help printing, share enthusiasm, inspiration and various business responsibilities. It’s comforting to work knowing that we have each other to support, push and motivate to go forward. We named our collaboration “Collectivism”. We are all from different backgrounds with our own ideas and styles, and this is great because it is creates a variety of products for Collectivism. If you want to check out what we are creating or if you just want to chat, please visit us at Finders Keepers Market  in Sydney on 20 and 21 of May where we will have a table!
